Frightfest Presents are back with another release, this time in the form of hitchhiking horror Road Games which sees two hitchhikers being picked up by a strange French guy who offers them to stay with him and his wife for the night. As you can imagine shit goes down and the two must try and escape.
On Frightfest presents....you do let me down sometimes. Road Games just didn’t really cut it for me. Visually I liked it. I like the old creepy house and I like the mannequins doted around like that creepy place in Fallout 4, you know with the serial killer. However these never really went anywhere. It felt like a wasted angle which was replaced with yet another obvious ending. You can tell who the killer is from the off and this is a damn shame. We have the introduction to so random friend of the creepy French guy and his wife who kidnaps Jack, our British lead Andrew Simpson who is better known for his role in Notes on a Scandal, but this is again wasted in favour of a boring and predictable finish.
I personally didn’t enjoy this film one bit, The acting was okay, the setting was well thought out but the story just wasn’t good in anyway.
