The 90's were my years as a kid growing up, which means I had the pleasure of enjoying the best era of cartoons, and I will fight anyone who disagrees! So to celebrate our month of TV I have put together my top 10 animated shows from the 90's. What is your Favorite 90's cartoon? let us know below.
10) Dexter's Laboratory

DEE DEE YOU IIIIIIDIOT! Ah Dexter's Lab was one strange show. Set in the mad cap of world of child genius Dexter and his accident prone sister Dee Dee we were treated to several years of mad cap adventures. The show ran from 1993 all the way to 2003 and was one of the top shows over on the Nick Toons channels.
9) Hey Arnold

A cartoon about a boy with a football shaped head and a bully who is secretly obsessed with him, which in a way is a pretty strange thing to be pushing onto kids..... Hey Arnold was, like Dexter's Lab, part of the Nick Toons boom of the 90's and even got a film in the 00's and 2017. the show ran till 2004 and is still much loved today.
8) Ren and Stimpy

The introduction the gross out kids animation started with these two dirty little bastards. Originally aimed for the adult market Ren and Stimpy made it's way, cut, on the Nick Toons channel and it was HILARIOUS!  Ren is the overly uptight one while Stimpy was the idiot friend with one of the most addictive songs in animation...HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! This is the reason we have random shit like Adventure Time today.
7) The Tick

SPOOOOOOON was his catchphrase, for some reason, and his side kick was a moth. The Tick was one of those superhero cartoons that took an extremely odd superhero and made him into a superstar. Picked up for a series on Amazon Prime this show has been given a resurgence as of late, and I urge you to track it down.
6) South Park

Still going strong today, South Park is the adult animated show EVERY ONE WATCHED. The type of cartoon that some parents knew nothing about or how rude and crude it really was. The earlier season were my favorites of the time, and though I have fallen out of it in recent years, the show had a huge impact of 90's childhoods and produced some great chart topping singles Like Chocolate Salty Balls and Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo.
5) Rugrats

Before they ruined the show by giving Chucky a sister and giving Tommy a little brother, Rugrats was the biggest show over on Nick Toons, and it still is today. With a few movies, video games and even a spin off teen years series added to the mix this was a heavy hitter of the 90's and 00's. Come on we all love the show!
4) Pokemon
He wants to be the very best, like no one ever was! The biggest game the Nintendo handhelds have to offer, and a show which is still going strong to this day, Pokemon is one of the biggest Anime series to hit during the 90's. This started such a huge craze with the show creating one of the most recognizable mascots (apart from Sonic and Mario) in cartoon and video game history. If you didn't like Pokemon you were in no way cool...or you liked Digimon which means you sucked!
3) Samurai Pizza Cats

A more obscure addition to the list which not many of you may of heard of, but Samurai Pizza Cats was one of my must watch shows of my childhood. It had a great mix of humor with anime fun and great over the top action. It was the humor of the sow that made it for me and is so hard to get hold of now in the UK. A must watch if you can find it.
2) The Simpsons

Enough said! The greatest animated show of all time (Let's not include the latest shit) and the most recognizable family in all of television. The 90's produced some of the greatest episodes of The Simpsons with so many unforgettable episodes (which I may have to do a series of top tens of later!!!), we all love The Simpsons and it will forever be the greatest....but one show made it above them for me....
1) Spiderman: The Animated Series

Oh come on you knew it was coming! I love Spiderman, he is my favorite Marvel character of time and this show was my show when I was a kid.  You was either X-Men or Spiderman and will always choose the wall crawler. The story-lines were exciting, I loved the Venom story-line and the Man-Spider/Morpheus Story-Line. This is THE greatest show of the 90's by far, and no other Spiderman cartoon has ever come close.
