With Trolls heading to cinemas this year, and with Pez in the pipeline, it got me thinking what other 90's favourites could be made into a film franchise...

Now this isn't me saying i WANT these films but looking at the current trend i could see these abominations actually coming about.

5) POGS

Remember POGS? this was a huge thing back in my childhood days, hitting the shelves around as time Pokemon Cards. With their own little mascot of shorts this could be made into a franchise and re-introduce POGS properly to a new generation. Thing of the sales!! you could even have an Alf cameo...because...just because...

4) Polly Pocket / Mighty Max

It was the little set you could put in your pocket...apparently but the thing was pretty bulky..anyway Polly Pocket was a popular girls toys of the 90's and paired with the boys alternative Mighty Max you have two different franchises you could make into two separate sets of films.  Yes i know Polly Pocket has had straight to DVD cartoon films however a big screen mix of live action and animation would be an interesting way to get this film out to a wider audience. Mighty Max, to my knowledge, doesn't have a modern day version so what better way to get a new look out there.

3) Tamagotchi

I mean they are making a film out of a bloody sweet dispenser so i am sure Hollywood can think of a way to milk this cash cow. Tamagotchi's have come back into fashion again in the last few years so it would be a great way to boost sales.

It was even a cartoon series which you could maybe adapt as well so many different avenues to explore here.

2) Beanie Babies

These little buggers are a GOLD MINE for collects today and with such a wide selection of little beanie creatures and animals this could be a Moshi Monsters style of film, again set for the Summer Market.

1) Furby

Everyone who was anyone had one of these annoying little gibberish talk bundles of crap. These were like the toy version of having the Pokemon games, if you didn't have it you were a sad sad child and your parents hated you.

Furby's came back a few years back all new and improved but this could be the ultimate Summer Movie, a live action style where a family find a strange creature in their house. Like a modern ET but with product placement all over the fucking shop.
