So the artwork really blew me away, not only with the technical skill but also the angles and perspectives used were so well crafted and thought through. I don't know if this is based on a TV programme or anything but the characters really look real and full of detail, so much so that I do feel like I am watching the story progress on TV. There are some really cool first person perspective shots, one of which is from the viewpoint of a murderer which is really exciting because it is disorientating and unpredictable and looks amazing. The scenes and surroundings all look like realistic suburban streets and packed with detail. The artwork was extremely good and probably one of the best I have seen in recent times.
The story was dark and flowed well with a clear plot line which is slowly revealed. There is some backstory included revealing old acquaintances and who the Millennium are. The action flows well as the fight scene is fast and really effective in keeping the reader engaged. I really want to read the following books to see how the story develops. As there is a strong supernatural theme, the story really could go anywhere as there was a hint of a demonic character already so there could be more demons and ghouls which are pretty exciting as there are no real limitations. The comic book is more of a detective/crime and a bit of a thriller so anyone can pick it up and enjoy it.
This is a complete comic book and really sets the bar high, even though it isn't typically something I would personally read. Although after reading this one I definitely want to read the rest, as I am sure most if not all the readers would. Both the artwork and story are at such a high standard its hard to find a fault and it will be hard for someone to dislike. I would highly recommend.
