As first issues go Simon Spurrier and Ryan Kelly have set the tone perfectly. You get the story of Lou's origins straight of the bat with out it being dragged out and made complicated for the reader. As the issues continue I look forward to getting the know he rest of the super powered individuals on the team but this is Lou's time and this issue left me wanting more.
Kelly's artwork on this issue is beautifully done, it reminds me a of retro werewolf artwork done in a modern way. It looks gritty and vibrant and compliments the story well.
I find it difficult to review issue comics, with less pages to review from than a usual full collect series of comics, however Cry Havoc is definitely worth a read. A great choice for horror fans
